Without artificial streetlights the stars really are like diamonds in the sky. Stay quiet enough and you will hear the owls in the woods, and if you are really still - you may even seethem! During the day you may see the little hare come in to the garden and rest in the shade of a tree, wash his face and have a little nap before loping off. It is a wonderful place for wildlife and the atmosphere will leave you completely refreshed and happy. No traffic noise, no noise at all, just peace and quiet and birdsong and the chirp of crickets. Wonderful!
These two lovely adjoining french houses each enjoy use of the garden and private pool.
Each property is ideal for up to 7 family or friends to have a secluded holiday away from the crowds. If you have a party of up to 14 you can book both houses.
The garden is walled, with a wooded area to the north and clear open views to the South towards Fanjeaux. Close the gates and settle down to relax and party by the pool! Eat al fresco and play games and party in the garden. It's all yours! Even with all this seclusion and privacy, Carcassonne with its "medieval cité" shops, restaurants and bars is only a twenty-minute drive away.
The tiny village of Villasavary is a mere mile away, and the larger villages of Bram and Fanjeaux a five-minute drive for shopping. Fanjeaux has a family run restaurant with excellent food at reasonable prices. Be sure to visit the market in the village of Bram on Wednesday mornings for fresh fruit, vegetables and local cheeses. Or perhaps visit the local "cave" and taste the local Minervois wine. There are lakes within a 30-minute drive to visit, walk around, swim and try out water sports, and historic Cathar Castles to visit.
